In stepped Darcy Blake, skipper Darren Purse, Aaron Ramsey, Trevor Sinclair and Riccy Scimeca.
Manager Dave Jones was keen to give players who need matches a chance to show what they can do.
The play-off places are now out of reach and today's match is purely build-up towards the FA Cup final.
With no goalkeeper on the bench it looked certain Jones is keen to make changes during the match.
Former Cardiff player Alan Mahon is among the Burnley substitutes.
