Hasselbaink throat infection - Rambo in attack

Posted by Terry Phillips on April 12, 2008 9:52 AM |

JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink is struggling with a throat infection, but he is still likely to be among the Cardiff City substitutes against Blackpool today.

Teenager Aaron Ramsey is likely to be given a new role in attack alongside Steve Thompson.
That's a tough role for Rambo, but he has certainly adapted when asked to play wide midfield and right-back.
What's your thought? Will Rambo succeed in that role?
Club captain Darren Purse is also in line to play with Glenn Loovens struggling against injury.
Today, almost more than any, is a must-win match for Cardiff City.
They are without Paul Parry and Joe Ledlwy with injuries, while Loovens looks certain to miss out.
Blackpool include Newport-born Mike Flynn, a Wales baseball international.
Cardiff City: Enckelman; McNaughton, Purse (capt), Johnson, Capaldi; Whittingham, Rae, McPhail, Sinclair; Ramsey, Thompson.
